Commonplace Book
A commonplace book is a way of compiling knowledge, by keeping notes on books read, quotes, excerpts and thoughts about what's been studied.
Since 2020 I've kept a physical commonplace book, and I love the practice. In the end, it was getting too much and I started organizing the knowledge with the zettelkasten method, but I still love to put my notes in my book.
My inspiration has been the Zibaldone by Giacomo Leopardi (prominent 18th century Italian writer and poet.
My intention is to put here the excerpts I find most interesting of the readings I'm doing as well as short essays and impressions of books I'm reading.
